1962 triumph pre-unit for sale

yes, clay from atom bomb is selling his killer 1962 triumph 6t pre-unit thunderbird bobber, “doctor who.” clay told me last night it was “to finance world domination, if that helps.” it sure does!

clay completed this bike in august of 2009 and although it belongs to a client it has been used primarily as a show and display bike for the shop and therefore it’s only got about 100 miles on it.

doctor who has been featured in a few print mags as well as barnett’s online, bikeEXIF, the art of motorcycles, and countless others including right here on bikerMetric.

some highlights include:
+  hand fabricated stainless exhaust with heat shields
+  hand fabricated handlebars with modified alloy amal levers
+  nos bates headlight
+  stainless steel 1932 ford style tail light
+  custom fabricated chain idler

the engine and transmission were fully rebuilt:
+  disassembly and cleaning down to sludge trap
+  new bearings/bushings throughout
+  polished crankshaft journals
+  polished rods
+  new camshafts with reground lifters
+  new oil pump
+  nos .020″ over hepolite pistons and rings
+  fully balanced bottom end
+  new valves and valve guides
+  new valve springs, retainers and keepers
+  light port matching in head, 3 angle valve job
+  hhp finned rocker oil feed
+  new amal 930 carburetor
