this vt600 bobber by free kustom cycles is pretty nifty. it’s a bit like the stuff josh does at tail end customs, but this is what guys have been sending in this week. not every bobber is an air-cooled hardtail.
fkc made or modified the peanut gas tank, handlebars, risers, mini fairing, foot controls, front and rear fenders, rear fender supports, seatpan and the exhaust.
they cut the struts of the rear subframe to put the rear fender as close as possible to the rear tire, and made the handlebars and risers where they put the motogadget mini speedometer. the headlamp is a 4.5″ bates style light and the tail light is a mini bates. the modified fenders are from zodiac and as always, the guys made their own mini switches on the handlebars.
free kustom cycles adapted the gas tank tunnel to fit on the honda frame. they ditched the original rear suspension for a rigid strut and lowered the front suspension. additionally, they changed the original air filter and airbox for two mini-chrome air filters and adapted the bmx-style footpegs on the foot controls.
after the bobber was put together, she was disassembled for painting everything from the frame, covers, wheels, tank, and more.
