All right…. you want speed? You want the most badass, curve-twisting, knee-scraping, adrenaline-pumping street rocket? This is it:

This is the Asphaltfighters Stormbringer, celebrating its world debut at the Essen Motor Show in Essen, Germany yesterday. It is a 1000cc, 280 bhp Kawasaki ZX-10R-based douchebag killer. The motor is reworked by Sepp Buchner, who has done extensive work on the top end, resulting in 220 bhp. “I thought you wrote 280,” you say? It’s true. For a few seconds the rider can activate a “booster mode” which is claimed to push power to 280 bhp. Yeah. Like you need it.

This new high-performance motorcycle has a claimed top speed of more than 200 mph (320 kmh) and the manufacturer tells us it accelerates from standstill to 186 mph (300 kmh) in a mere 13.9 seconds! Jesus freaking mashed potatoes and gravy! Remember those little workout handles with a spring in the middle that you used to squeeze to strengthen your hands when you were a teenage tough guy? Dig them out of the attic and practice with them for a few weeks before twisting the throttle on this bad baby.

The cylinder heads are fitted with a new combustion chamber shape and inlet and outlet valves as well as the valve seats are optimized for mixture flow. Forged aluminum high-performance pistons are also part of the engine concept as are numerous additional detail modifications to the inner workings of the engine. Thanks to uncompromising lightweight design, the semi-gloss black and orange bike weighs in at just 430 lbs (195 kg) with a full tank of gas.

JAMPARTS supplied a custom-tailored exhaust system with carbon-fiber rear muffler that is vital to the enormous power output of the high-tech engine. The hexagonal shape of the rear muffler also makes a slick feature that blends nicely with the overall design.

The BIKERBOX engine electronics feature an adjustable ten-stage traction control, a launch control feature for perfect acceleration from rest and a fully programmable speed limiter activated at the push of the button for city traffic or for the pit lane. Geez, man. Will this thing do my laundry and get me a beer, too?

Among the revolutionary features never before been used on a motorcycle is an innovative lighting system with LED daytime running lights and just one extremely powerful Xenon headlamp that serves as both high and low beam. The tear-shaped Kellermann mini turn signals are also part of the sophisticated aerodynamic concept. Head-up displays have been in successful use in fighter jets and a few select high-performance automobiles for years. Now they have found their way into the production of motorcycles. The Asphaltfighters Stormbringer – I want to hear Arnold Schwarzenegger yell that name through a bullhorn – is the first bike that projects the current speed onto the windscreen using this technology.

Only a few Asphaltfighters Stormbringers will be built by Warm Up Zweiradtechnik GmbH in Aalen, Germany with an MSRP starting at $86,600 (57,500 Euros).

You may think 86 grand is a lot for a scooter you’re not adept enough to handle and you’re probably right, but to achieve the perfect union between high-performance bike and rider, the purchase price includes a precision setup of the bike according to the individual rider’s needs and wishes. Suspension, seating position and all operating controls can be calibrated to the rider’s weight and size. Also included in the price is high-tech riding gear color-coordinated with the bike. The gear includes a leather full-body suit created to fit each rider as tightly as, well, you can imagine. The gear also includes a carbon-fiber and Kevlar helmet; perfect for the extremely high speeds of the bike and for saving your skull in style.
