thoughts on the christian *** and christ

stella, judged.1. is there one *** or two?

“the man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” (genesis 3:22)

“like one of us?”

i ask this because i had a dream and it seemed the only way to understand *** was to be paired, be a couple, married, whatever your favorite definition is.

what i witnessed was eternal, but malleable. there is no set fate, only the reactions of our actions. all are tested.

which leads me to this question:

2. why does christ promise eternal life while genesis denies it?

christ was asked, “what good thing must i do to get eternal life?”

yeshua the messiah replied, “if you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” jesus then lists six of the ten in matthew 19:18-19.

when the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “who then can be saved?” (matthew 19:25)

jesus looked at them and said, “with man this is impossible, but with *** all things are possible.” (matthew 19:26)

really? that’s great. where is the tree of life, then? is it really christ and we can now eat of him, as some do metaphorically? hm. no wonder there is all this zombie stuff lately. we eat *** in human flesh so why is there a problem with eating each other?

there is a lot of metaphor and allegory in the bible. is this the same *** christ calls “abba,” which was aramaic (the language spoken in the region at the time) for more than simply “father,” as we’ve been told. it is a much more intimate word. it’s more akin to a young boy calling for his daddy.

in genesis, where he is “lord,” he was one so jealous but still the one who sacrificed and suffered to understand why we would not obey thousands of years later, who lived as we did and was tortured and died to discover what free will meant to people. dying in a slow and painful manner, he forgive us only to lay down more rules to make us obey?

i prefer the part where the smarta**ed pharisee who was considered an expert in jewish law asked christ, “which is the greatest commandment in the law?” and jesus answered more simply, “love the lord your *** with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. this is the first and greatest commandment, and the second is like it: ‘love your neighbor as yourself.'” (matthew 22:37-39)

love *** and everybody else. that works. wish i could do that more often and from this moment i will re-double the efforts i started in late june to be that.

surprise!

christ was christ, a greek word for “messiah,” and we are not intended to be so good. we are intended to love the one who was and remember his words and deeds as we walk through our own deserts and valleys, tempted and fearless.
