discovered this builder on monster craftsman’s website this summer. he bought a chain tensioner from jon at mc. it’s been five months since i posted the first bike and even though i’ve asked jon numerous times for info on the guy, he still hasn’t dug it up to share. the *******.
here is another i found somewhere a month or two ago. as usual people simply post pix and give no info. the bastards.
i’ve been told the builder is in florida, but it wasn’t a sure thing.
i dig the flyscreen mounted to the risers. the mexican blanket seat. the corona bottle fuel gauge. the car shock forks. the water spicket gas cap…
so i’m asking you bastards. who is making these crazy metric rat choppers?
most excellent! a member of the bikerMetric facebook crew found the builder, todd anglani from after hours bikes.

I like that jack-shaft chain drive.
it appears to be be sitting on the ground. about 2 inches of ground clearance.
it’s got an air ride system that holds 150 psi, mookie. you can raise or lower it.
dig the tank

oh o.k. that explains it.
lowriders have invaded the chopper scene. great.
watch out for the zoot suits!
white jacket with side vents?
nah. too obvious. black with white pinstripes.
but i’ve always wanted a madhouse jacket to go with my derby hat. i want a jacket like this to wear when i ride the FREEDOM OR DEATH MACHINE:

and nothing has “invaded” the chopper scene, man. this site isn’t about “the chopper scene” and two posts out of 640 does not an invasion make. you don’t have to like it and i appreciate your opinion, which is why all keep posting them.
these bikes are not the most “pure” definition of a chopper, but that doesn’t make them wrong, just different. it’s tricky stuff to quantify and it’s all opinion.
a few days ago i posted images and info about a rolay enfield 500cc thumper with a drag slick and tons of steel body work. some thought it was silly, some thought it was rad. i don’t understand what the problem is with “lowriders.”
i am actually in touch with the builder now and will be doing a short piece on him and his bikes early in the new year.
Todd builds some kickass bikes and almost all metric. C’mon Trent you gotta know about After Hours Bikes.
hey ron, i did not know 17 months ago when i first posted about these bikes. that’s why there is an edit at the bottom of this post after eric found who it was when i asked and put it to the bM facebook group.
as you see, the post/interview never happened. i contacted him and he was pretty much a jerk. good luck selling in saudi arabia. might as well be hitting women and giving money to the jihad.
next time, don’t be an *** to a guy who’s gonna put you in front of 50,000 readers in a month.
